Celebrating St. Brigid
The making of St. Brigid's Crosses on the eve of St. Brigid's Day by the senior room ........lots of patience required but we all got there in the end!!!!!!
On St. Brigid's Day itself, some of us attended a church service in All Saints' Church while others watched the online Ecumenical service which was live streamed from St. Brigid's Cathedral, Kildare. We all observed a minute's silence in the yard at 12.00 noon. More St. Brigid's crosses were made , this time by Third and Fourth classes. Pictures were painted, crosses were coloured, St. Brigid's cloaks were drawn and painted.
On Friday, Fifth and Sixth Classes walked up to St. Brigid's Well in Cullion to finish off our St. Brigid's celebrations.
